Leadership Matrix 

Save the date of Saturday March 7^th, 2009 for a new NPC training and resource event called Leadership Matrix.  This event is for pastors, lay leaders or potential leaders—in fact, it’s for everyone!  Join us March 7^th from 9am-4pm at Kent Covenant Church. Dan Pietrzyk (Director of Sustaining Pastoral Excellence for the ECC) and Debbie Blue (Executive Minister of the Department of Compassion, Mercy and Justice for the ECC) will be keynote speakers along with other seminar presenters from the ECC and NPC.  Seminars will feature topics for pastors and staff, church chairpersons and lay leaders, youth leaders, worship leaders and mission and outreach.  Join us as we endeavor to move beyond “the instinct to huddle and cuddle” (from Alan Hirsch in his book The Forgotten Ways) to be a church that is characterized by adaptive leadership that is focused on Kingdom values and behavior. From a variety of sources and ministries we will spend March 7^th seeking ways to leverage the North Pacific Conference with missional priorities for years to come. Come and be refreshed! Keynote speakers:

Debbie Blue – ECC Executive Minister of Compassion, Mercy & Justice.  Debbie was elected at the ECC Annual Meeting in June 2007 (Portland, Ore) to lead this new department which was formed to align the essential core values of compassion, mercy and justice, which have always been at the heart of the Covenant, with the current structure of the ECC. 

Dan Pietrzyk—ECC Director of Sustaining Pastoral Ministry, a Covenant initiative to  resource pastors for personal and vocational vitality.  SPE is made possible by a generous grant from the Lilly Foundation.
